Description:
1. Contribute towards setting strategic direction of UNIX Infrastructure and Chef Engineering. Conceptual technical thinking.
2. Development and drive of improvements in current toolsets
3. Provide expertise technical advice to customers who write cookbooks and consume Chef infrastructure and UNIX team members
4. Bring new technology to the bank
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications: Any Graduate
Skills:
1. Deep understanding of UNIX and facilitating technologies
2. Expertise in writing Chef cookbooks and Inspec profiles and experience in using Chef and its ancillary products
3. Understanding and knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Code concepts and tools (Chef.)
4. Development/Strong scripting experience with a language such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Go or Shell
5. Strong in using DevOps CI/CD Pipelines specifically Atlassian tools that includes Jenkins, Bit-Bucket and JIRA system
6. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
7. Knowledge of monitoring systems and concepts of large scale monitoring of Infrastructure
8. Awareness of virtualization, cloud and containerization technologies (OpenStack, OpenShift, Docker, AWS)
9. Knowledge of clustering technologies (Veritas Cluster suite/PowerHA/ Pacemaker/RedHat HA)
