Job Role: Application System Admin
Job Summary :
Responsible for a broad range of technical
administration functions required to support middleware technologies for application
systems installed on a multi-tiered hardware and Operating System (Linux,
Unix and Microsoft Windows).
Middleware Technologies includes, but
not limited to, SOA, Identity and Access management, Reporting infrastructure,
Application servers, web servers, content management etc.
Responsibilities include application support, troubleshooting and installation
of middleware tiers (application S/W and settings, etc).
In addition this role will be responsible for supporting tools and applications
used by development teams such as automated test tools, performance testing
and monitoring tools, source/version control tools, request management, etc.
Ensures compliance to established standard configuration settings for all
layers of the technology stack.
Act as a first point of contact for any technical issue and work with senior
team member to triage issues between different tiers (storage, OS, network,
security, application, database, end-user etc.)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, configure and administer Middleware stacks of production and non-production
environments.
Perform defined proactive maintenance activities to ensure application availability
and usability.
Monitors performance to identify opportunities and tune to improve application
performance, scalability and stability.
Document and maintain application ''Responsibilities,'' user access and all
security elements within the application.
Create test scripts, perform load testing and analyze data. Troubleshoot,
resolve and tune, as required.
Participate in troubleshooting activities with senior team members and document
the middleware stake issues.
Perform environment refresh, change management and release management duties
for Middleware application stack.
