Role and Responsibilities:
- Analyse application code information in multiple languages (PHP, C, C++, etc.)
- Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities within application code.
- Perform application-layer penetration tests, static and dynamic vulnerability analysis, and red team exercises.
- Provide development engineering with guidance on threat modeling and targeted training on secure coding.
- Partner with development engineering to ensure security is considered in the design processes for all applications.
- Partner with engineering architects to ensure security in design.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including IT to ensure security measures are integrated into the organization’s system and Infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Preferred if any experience in bug bounty or other freelance work.
- Preferred certification in one or more of an industry recognized security certification such as CEH, OSCP, CSSLP.
- Must have knowledge of development languages such as PHP, C, C++, and Python • Must have hands-on experience with open-source tools for different phases in security assessment.
- Must have a technical understanding of application code and development techniques.
- Understanding of OWASP standard and Top 10 for Web, API.
- Excellent technical communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills with an aptitude for creative problem-solving.
- Ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
