Roles and Responsibilities:
- Integrate client proprietary data into S&P Proprietary Database. Analyze and spread client financials both in existing Excel templates, and within client-specific templates structured for their unique accounting of financials.
- Analysis of key financial statements. Confidently navigate the Income Statement, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow – of mostly private companies – inclusive of supplementary schedules, footnotes, and MD&A.
- Support Commercial partners in pre-sales situations, demoing the Proprietary Data solution and its capabilities for structuring workflows unique to the client, displacing competitor solutions. Post-sales, execute implementations – both in platform and Excel modeling – while providing ongoing training and support thereafter as a subject matter expert.
- Assist in ingesting/managing clients’ data within our product (Capital IQ) by more technical means, inclusive of bulk upload templates leveraging VBA and/or mapping external databases to our inbound FTP product.
- Build/automate custom presentations in PowerPoint and Word based on client requirements using Inhouse Office Tools Suite.
- Supporting client base in their research by responding to their requests that comes through calls, e-mails and other forms of communication.
- Partner with product teams on timely and thorough testing of our products, with an eye towards exceptional client experience.
- Work with senior analysts on projects which improve and develop subject matter expertise.
- Work with clients across multiple geographies including the Americas, EMEA, and APAC and address their requirements.
- Consistently make proactive suggestions around product usability, presentation, and data quality.
- Create new opportunities for Automation and LEAN to improve the workflow efficiency.
- Ability to independently manage the interactions with various unified teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Equivalent of MBA in Finance.
- 0 to 12 months experience.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the fundamentals of business, financial statements and investments. Proficient in research and analysis.
- Good knowledge and understanding of capital and commodity markets.
