Role and Responsibilities:
- Execute deployment activities and conduct sanity testing on our AWS data platform to ensure its stability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new features and enhance existing ones on the AWS data platform, catering to the specific needs of data scientists and analysts.
- Provide dedicated support to data scientists and analysts who rely on the AWS data platform, offering assistance and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Proactively monitor alerts and system performance indicators, taking immediate action to rectify issues and maintain platform availability.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and processes to streamline platform maintenance and improve efficiency.
- Act as a Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) engineer, responding to user inquiries and technical issues related to the Tableau server, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Validate the integrity of contents, permissions, and configurations during migration activities to prevent data loss and maintain data security.
- Identify opportunities to optimize Tableau server performance, making recommendations and implementing improvements as needed.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation related to Tableau configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT and data teams to ensure Tableau server integration with other systems and data sources, enabling seamless data access.
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate) are a plus.
- Proven experience working with AWS, specifically in deploying and maintaining data platform.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services like SageMaker, S3, and Lambda.
- Experience with AWS services like MWAA, EMR, ECR and Terraform is a plus.
- Expertise in Tableau Server administration and support, with a focus on user management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools is a plus.
- Prior experience in a data-centric or analytics-focused role is advantageous.
