Role and Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for writing and executing new tests for mass capacity storage systems (both RAID and non-RAID based) as part of our quality/reliability validation process.
- Have the opportunity to test the Seagate Systems to help ensure quality.
- Identify problems before release and early in the development lifecycle.
- Be responsible to ensure that the product meets all the industry standards by executing different certifications and customer use cases.
- Use a variety of skills and will have the opportunity to explore and use new and emerging technologies.
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Knowledge of Storage Domain; Cloud Systems.
- Understanding of RAID based storage system architectures.
- Familiarity with IO generation tools.
- Good understanding of manual and automated testing.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Object Store.
- Knowledge of System Engineering, OS Internals.
- Knowledge of setting up hardware (Storage, Server).
- Experience and understanding of basic storage concepts.
- Experience with developing and executing test plans.
- Set up and maintain rack-level hardware, including loading and configuring operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of test automation using Python.
- Knowledge and experience with Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMware Cloud services.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Jenkins and Git, Networking Basics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
