Role and Responsibilities:
- Work with slice leadership and cross-functional teams to define the strategic direction and create a roadmap of data products and platforms
- Generate customer love by always being on a lookout for ways to empower various personas (analytics, data scientists, operations, product, engineering) through frictionless access to data in a secure manner.
- Work with the Infosec team to come up with a strategy, policies, platform capabilities, and features to provide users best-in-class experience at the same time ensuring security, access control, and compliance as per regulatory requirements
- Represent data team in product planning and strategy, OKR planning across the organization
- Own the product roadmap, work closely with the engineering team for scoping and prioritization
- Be the product champion for the team, translate user requirements, and pain points through PRDs, user stories, concept notes, and drive alignment between stakeholders and engineering
- Challenge the status quo, always look for opportunities to improve current capabilities, features. Get inspiration from how other teams, organizations are solving similar problems and bake that into the product roadmap.
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Approximately 1- 4 years of experience as a data engineer, data scientist, business analyst, or product manager.
- Excellent eye for detail and experience in managing data at scale.
- Ability to come up with short-term and long-term strategies and plans.
- Critical thinking and deep analytical abilities to solve business problems.
- Metric first thinking – defining and tracking metrics for feature adoption and impact.
- Leadership to align stakeholders and deliver projects with ownership in an agile environment.
- Understanding of the technical architecture of data, and ML tech stack in order to effectively engage with engineering teams.
- Super-power to turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans.
