Role and Responsibilities:
- To accomplish this, the person is responsible for the following along with any other functions assigned as part of the requirements to meet the larger goal mentioned above.
- Legal review of power of attorneys submitted by various clients of Ameriprise; communication of the findings to specific teams.
- Legal review of life events and resolve CAM queries.
- Legal research and summarization of various rules and regulations or other relevant documents.
- Any other similar to-dos as part of the larger team.
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Law Graduate preferably from a tier 1 institute with experience in review of legal memos/ documents/ agreements or other legal review/ analysis functions.
- Must demonstrate excellent understanding of legal language and analytical skills.
- Excellent English language skills – both written & spoken. Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills as the role involves regular communication with counterparts within and outside the US GCO.
- Ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills are essential for this position.
- Moderate to high-level experience in Microsoft Office products (specifically Word and Excel)
