Job Description:
1. Analyze & understand product features and usage, in order to provide inputs to estimation & schedules, develop effective test strategy.
2. Define test strategy and automate test cases, maintain automated test cases and execute
3. Understand the customer usage and define appropriate environment to mimic customer environment for the testing
4. Understand different quality factors in order to ensure effective test case automation development.
5. Proposes and advocate automation technology concepts, influence improvements, report potential risk and plan for contingencies
6. Continuous learning and refinement of testing and automation strategy
7. Collaborate with development teams in order to understand the features getting developed during the sprint, usage and use cases. Implement this knowledge in automating the test cases
8. Engage in small scale innovation/value addition in testing and automation.
9. Understand and keep align with testing and Automation industry trends, adopt best practices.
10. Contribute to extent of feedback and recommendations to testing and on creating quality automation for the features.
Candidate Profile:
Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Experience:
1. 3 - 5 years of QA testing hands-on experience with Automation as well as manual.
2. 3+ years with strong knowledge in manual testing and Automation domains.
Technical Skills:
1. Knowledge of software applications running on multiple platform types.
2. Strong troubleshooting skills.
3. In-depth knowledge in testing and Automation domains,
4. Well verse with Test Methodology.
5. Familiarity with Agile Software Development (preferably Scrum).
6. Good Hands-on Automate test cases using JAVA/Selenium, REST, TestNG.
7. Well versed in Linux, Windows OS usage and optionally Mac & Android Devices.
8. Good to have exposure to SaaS application on Cloud (AWS preferable)
9. Good to have knowledge of Networking.
10. Good to have knowledge on Tools – Jenkins, GIT, Maven, Bug tracking tools (JIRA).
