Role and Responsibilities:
- Developing regional positioning and market penetration strategies in-line with corporate strategy.
- Helping to define the target customer, differentiated value propositions, and competitive analysis.
- Speaking at conferences, customer and online events.
- Driving market development through thought leadership initiatives.
- Working together with the corporate intelligence team, conduct market research to understand the GCN, CSP and Enterprise demand, the addressable market size, and competitors’ white space.
- Gathering market insights (technology trends, customer strategies).
- Developing go-to-market strategies for new solutions, geos or major accounts (together with the sales teams).
- Translating corporate strategy to regional strategy and activities.
- Providing regional perspective and spin on portfolio and product marketing activities.
- Providing Sales enablement support along with key customer support.
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Profound knowledge of telecoms and service provider market.
- Ability to map technical solutions to customer business problems and revenue streams.
- All-rounder in the technology industry (also periphery of telecoms market).
- Technical credibility, understanding of the market.
- Able to clearly communicate Ciena vision.
- Master’s degree in business or technology topic.
- Extensive leadership experience in telecoms.
- Significant experience working for/with key transport technology vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia etc.), or working with their solutions.
