Job Role and Responsibilities:
- QA Engineer with experience in 802.11 WLAN networking, testing Access Points and Controller.
- Design, implement various test beds involved in WIFI Controller and Access Point interworking with various WIFI devices.
- Connect with different partners (Development, PLM) to understand the use cases.
- Creation and maintenance of effective test plans for Ruckus AP New features.
- Execution of tests involving end to end Functional testing including client connectivity, roaming, client control, trouble shooting, isolation, performance & Stability.
- Maintain, build and update feature documentation and topology diagrams.
- Execution of scale & Performance tests by using various tools like iPerf, chariot, veriwave, etc.
- Reproduce customer raised tickets if required.
- Demonstrate multiple network monitoring tools to analyze network traffic patterns to proactively identify performance issues and account for capacity planning.
- Responsible for leading, supervising and mentoring of team members within the group
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate optimally.
- Prioritize service or project issues according to SLA.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech or another technical field.
- Work experience in 802.11 WLAN networking or switching for at least 0-3 years.
- Excellent hands-on experience on following protocols WLAN (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Wireless security and Networking (L2/L3 protocols – Switching/routing).
- Good to have prior experience in testing Enterprise products (Controllers, Access Points, Cloud).
- Switching, STP, VLAN, GRE, IGMP, IPV4, IPV6, TCP, UDP, Multicast, PIM, Link Aggregation.
- Hands-on Experience with various test tools and simulators which include: Veriwave, iPerf, Sniffers etc.
- Preferred expertise with Networking, including Multicast, Unicast, bonjour fencing, LAN, WAN deployments, routing, routing protocols, QoS, TCP/IP.
- Ability to tackle sophisticated networks.
- Prior experience in Automation using Python or Perl or TCL, Robot framework.
