Roles and Responsibilities:
- Follow up missing remittances. Liaise with clients directly where permitted to acquire remittance advice, using this opportunity to identify the root cause for missing allocation details, driving improved remittance saturation.
- 0-30 Cash responsibility. Responsible for 0-30 bucket, closely supervising new cash received, follow up and raise at every stage with relevant parties driving timely & accurate closure of unapplied cash and preventing inflow to aging buckets.
- Approve Payment Transfers. Internal transfer approval for misdirected payments to ensure timely movement of funds to the accurate bank account.
- Supporting identification of misdirected payments. When misdirected payments are identified, establish the root cause, i.e. bank mapping, invoice showing incorrect bank account, etc. and work with Lead Cash Specialist to resolve.
- Regional Cash Calls. Attend regional cash calls to discuss open (billed & unbilled) where applicable.
- Supporting identification of short payments. Investigate short payments for purposes of VAT, WHT, retention, etc. and provide breakdown of implications for allocation to cash appliers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- University graduate in a related field (Economic/Accounting and Finance studies are an advantage).
- Proficient in English.
- Cash Collections accounting knowledge is a must.
