Role and Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure network architectures to meet the organization’s requirements.
- Deploy and configure networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain network security protocols to safeguard against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and respond promptly to security incidents.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, system administrators, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other IT infrastructure components.
- Provide technical support and expertise to other departments as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Create comprehensive network diagrams to aid in troubleshooting and future planning.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Implement network-monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Optimize network performance and efficiency through continuous analysis and improvement initiatives.
- Cloud Network Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage scalable and resilient network architectures within AWS and GCP.
- Configure and optimize cloud-based networking services, such as VPCs, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Systems Engineer or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/ IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- CompTIA Network+.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
