Role and Responsibilities:
- Calculation Compliance assessment teams will be structured in ‘pods’ comprising of an Assessor and an Analyst.
- The Calculation Compliance Analyst will analyze and interpret calculation and disclosure logic documentation for the system under review. This is required to enable Assessments against regulatory requirements with consideration of any HSBC policy determinations and disclosure guidelines.
- This is a unique opportunity to develop subject matter expertise in an area of growing interest to regulators, investors and the wider external market. Disclosure rules and regulations for ESG topics are evolving globally, and there will also be ample opportunity to contribute towards the ongoing refinement of the business-as-usual operating model and controls & assurance framework within the First Line of Defence.
- Assist in reviewing the readiness of calculation logic documentation for the Calculation Compliance Assessment. Engage with System Owners and Report Makers as required.
- Support Assessor in performing review of calculation documentation readiness and testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrable understanding of one or more regulatory rule areas and ability to assimilate knowledge of ESG regulatory requirements.
- Experience in defining comprehensive test scenarios, ensuring all derivations of a requirement are captured.
- Expertise in SQL with the ability to interpret complex logic, prepare test scripts, and explain findings in a non-technical manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience delivering test planning, management, and execution.
- Team coaching skills to support timely delivery and escalation as appropriate.
- Ability to clearly articulate findings that require an explanation of complex calculation logic.
- Working knowledge of testing tools (such as ALM Confluence, and Jira) for the management of testing cycles and relevant documentation.
- The role holder should be able to quickly understand the end-to-end process and calculation logic within the system for assessment.
