Role and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the systems that support variety of quantitative research projects across business domains.
- Interact with developers and analysts to ensure data needs are met for research projects and applications.
- Automate workflows to extract, transform, and load data from disparate data sources using Python packages like Pandas, NumPy, Matplot, etc.
- Analyze performance issues in the database layer and assist with performance tuning.
- Ensure quality of technical and application architecture and design of systems across the organization. Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best-in-class technologies.
- Functional Skills Experience in Banking, Financial, and Fintech experience in an enterprise environment preferred Experience in following best Coding, Security, Unit testing, and Documentation standards and practices Experience in Agile methodology.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 0-1 year of experience in designing and managing large-scale database systems.
- Experience in SQL, and Python is a must. Extensive coding experience with Python (3.6 and above)
- BS degree in engineering, computer science.
- Working knowledge of AWS Data Engineering tools like Athena, Glue, EMR, and DynamoDB is preferred.
- Exposure to Agile software engineering practices.
