Role and Responsibilities:
- Leading and developing a team of accounting professionals to deliver insightful, accurate, and timely group-wide cost reporting and cost process transformation.
- Overseeing entity-level controllership functions for your hub, including compliance with relevant bank policies, and testing the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls on a regular basis.
- Establishing and documenting operating procedures, which include relevant controls to meet bank-wide and local policy requirements.
- Connecting financial metrics to performance and productivity metrics, demonstrating continued value added from your business area.
- Providing company signatory and directorship in accordance with delegated authorities.
- Making sure that management processes are in place to monitor performance and development, ensuring effective communication with leadership, management, and the wider team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience of the relevant legal entity and regulatory requirements, preferably at the CFO level, together with experience of operating at the Board level.
- The ability to articulate the overall strategy and a proven track record of strategic and tactical implementation.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory matters and regulatory issues affecting the banking sector.
- Significant experience in the financial industry and experience in managing large teams, ideally in a financial services firm.
- Experience in a banking environment, business process outsourcing company, or non-financial services captives.
- Critical thinking skills, enable you to cut through complexity, and make sound decisions and recommendations that are carefully balanced against the risk.
