Roles and Responsibilities:
- Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices.
- Checking computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality. And assets management.
- Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade in-house servers.
- Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules.
- Ensure network security and connectivity.
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Resolve problems reported by the end user.
- Maintain knowledge of computer engineering trends and new technology.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a hardware administrator role.
- Hands-on experience in hardware engineering networking, routing, and switching.
- Experience with firewalls (pfSense), Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
- Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
- Great at organising, prioritizing and multitasking.
- Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration.
- Hands-on experience in Linux commands(basic).
