Role and Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly examine customer account activity and information to uncover potential fraudulent activities or reasons behind dispute filings. The objective is to effectively differentiate between customers with malicious intent and those genuinely raising disputes.
- Review suspicious accounts to validate the solution’s accuracy.
- Monitor scam activity across PayPal’s products, identify patterns, and address the scammers to protect innocent users.
- Identify gaps in processes that impact users, and utilize analytics to combine top-down (data-driven insights) with bottom-up (manual accounts reviews) approaches.
Required Skills and Qualification:
- A good understanding of Risk and Fraud prevention would be preferred.
- Familiarity with front office and back office tools for the purpose of reviewing consumer/seller accounts and resolving customer issues is preferred.
- Adapts well to change and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills – Good storyteller and communicator.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Self-learner, able to work independently, highly organized, “can-do” approach.
- Proficiency in using SQL and Excel for data querying and manipulation – advantage.
