Role and Responsibilities:
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable , and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the Snowflake data platform, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment processes.
- Develop automated workflows for building, testing, and deploying Snowflake objects such as databases, schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
- Implement best practices for version control, branching strategies, and code promotion within Snowflake environments.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics and usage patterns of Snowflake resources.
- Create comprehensive documentation for CI/CD processes, infrastructure configurations, and deployment procedures.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a CI/CD Engineer or DevOps Engineer, with a focus on data platforms and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake data platform, including administration, SQL scripting, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and agile methodologies.
- Experience with full-stack snowflake CICD design and development including, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong understanding of Azure, Snowflake, etc cloud platforms.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD best practices for software development to bring automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and stakeholders.
