Role and Responsibilities:
- Database Queries and Manipulation: Being able to write SQL queries to return information from multiple tables in a clear and concise report. Writing SQL queries that will insert, update and or delete records on 1 or more tables.
- SQL Query Optimization: Analyzing and optimizing SQL queries to improve database performance and minimize execution time. This involves identifying bottlenecks, indexing strategies, and rewriting queries to enhance efficiency.
- Ticket Resolution: Responding to and resolving technical issues and service requests raised by end-users or system monitoring tools. This requires an individual who is excited to solve new problems in a timely manner while being able to clearly communicate the issues and resolutions.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Implementing monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential system issues. Regularly monitoring system performance, and capabilities, and implementing necessary monitoring.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Generating reports on system performance/functionality, incidents, and resolutions to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as developers, network administrators, and security specialists, to ensure smooth system operation and resolve complex issues. Providing technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.
