Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operational support and incident resolution.
- Compliance: Monitor and correct compliance issues for device configurations
- Standardization: Develop and maintain standard configurations, procedures, and guidelines for installing and operating data networks.
- Perform first-line troubleshooting of network issues.
- System maintenance: Perform firmware/ OS upgrades on routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other devices in accordance with company needs.
- Capacity planning reviews circuit and device capacities and recommends actions to the Global Network Manager.
- Interface with ISP and carriers to install/ commission/ test new circuits and/or troubleshoot existing circuits.
- Occasional on-call duties – Every 6 weeks for two days is typical.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BS or BA degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent education, or training.
- Willing to travel as per project requirements.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Ability to think through problems and visualize the solutions.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
- Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection.
