Role and Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming inventory.
- Inspect inventory for damage or defects.
- Record inventory data in the inventory management system.
- Issue inventory to production and other departments.
- Maintain inventory levels to ensure that there is enough stock to meet demand.
- Reconcile inventory records to physical inventory counts.
- Conduct inventory audits.
- Generate reports on inventory levels and trends.
- Use Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
- Troubleshoot inventory problems.
- Train new employees on inventory procedures.
- Take ownership of the Inventory Management process, including receiving inventory, giving inventory on request, shipping inventory, and receiving shipments.
- Publish a weekly status report with the health of the inventory and any issues.
- Conduct audits on a timely basis to ensure that the inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
- Identify and document all inventory items.
- Prioritize requests based on their criticality and instructions from the lead. Store and manage temporary inventory with proper notes.
Required Skills and Qualification:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory control in a manufacturing environment, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
